Karawang, Wartacana.com – Pagi itu, jalan utama menuju kampus Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika) mulai padat sejak pukul 06.30 WIB. Bukan hanya para wisudawan, tetapi keluarga wisudawan, tamu undangan, pedagang kaki lima dan mahasiswa Unsika turut memenuhi wilayah sekitar kampus.
Aroma buket, suara klakson, deruan motor menjadi satu yang menandakan, hari wisuda Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang kembali digelar. Bukannya menjadi momen suka cita namun malah berubah menjadi mimpi buruk bagi sebagian pihak terutama mahasiswa Unsika.
Dibalik kemeriahan momen kelulusan pada 11 Februari 2025 itu, terjadi kekacauan di luar gedung Unsika. Salah satu masalah yang paling mencolok adalah keterbatasan lahan parkir yang menyebabkan kemacetan panjang bahkan hingga ke luar kampus.
Acara wisuda Unsika memang sering kali mencekamnya macet di sekitaran kampus. Akibatnya, banyak pengguna jalan terganggu.
Aqila Wafa Anjani, mahasiswa semester enam, mengaku harus memarkir motornya di ruko-ruko depan kampus atau bahkan di depan Indomaret, yang jaraknya cukup jauh dari kampus.
Pasalnya, area dalam kampus sudah penuh “Beberapa kali waktu acara wisuda cukup sulit sehingga tidak bisa masuk kampus sehingga harus parkir di luar kampus. Biasanya toko-toko di depan kampus kan banyak ruko-ruko kosong atau di depan Indomaret,” kata Aqila kepada Wartacana.com .
Aqila juga menyebutkan bahwa ia pernah mengalami keterlambatan masuk kelas karena harus berjalan dari area parkir darurat tersebut. “Keterlambatan pernah sih, itu karena harus jalan dulu yang biasanya langsung turun dari motor tapi adanya acara wisuda ga bisa masuk jadi harus jalan dulu jadi bisa terlambat beberapa kali,” katanya.
Kemacetan akibat wisuda juga dirasakan oleh warga yang tinggal di sekitaran kampus. Asep Mubarok yang berusia 32 tahun, warga Perumahan Mahkota Regency, mengaku bahka dua tahun lalu, pernah terjadi kemacetan luar biasa di sepanjang jalan ronggo waluyo, lokasi tempat kampus Unsika.
“Ya dari ujung sampai ujung itukan macetnya luar biasa sampai pertigaan ulekan itu kan luar biasa sekali macetnya sampai ga bergerak sama sekali,” ujarnya.
Namun, ia mengapresiasi kebijakan kampus yang mulai membagi wisuda menjadi beberapa gelombang. Menurutnya, hal itu merupakan bentuk respon positif terhadap aspirasi masyarakat. “Makanya sekarang tetap macet, tapi tidak separah dulu-dulu,” ujarnya.
Meski ada upaya antisipasi seperti pengalihan parkir mobil keluarga ke kawasan Mahkota, 92,5% siswa merasa belum ada solusi yang memadai. Sebanyak 97,4% mahasiswa setuju bahwa perlunya dilakukan perluasan lahan parkir atau kerja sama dengan pihak luar.
Masih dari hasil survei yang dilakukan Tim Penulis terhadap mahasiswa Unsika, diketahui bahwa 80% mahasiswa Unsika menggunakan kendaraan pribadi ke kampus. Baik menggunakan motor maupun mobil.
Sementara ada 100% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa lahan parkir Unsika tidak memadai. Akibatnya 87,5% siswa mengaku pernah terlambat karena kesulitan parkir, dan 87,5% lainnya merasa kesulitan menemukan tempat parkir saat acara wisuda.
Dosen FISIP Unsika, Khairul Arif Rahman, menilai bahwa manajemen parkir wisuda belum efektif. “Kalau konteksnya acara wisuda, tentu buruk ya. Saya tidak bisa ngomong baik karena buruknya itu adalah Unsika masih cenderung untuk numpuk kendaraan di satu tempat. Itu ibaratnya seperti menempatkan bom waktu yang siap keluar.” Jelasnya
Khairul mengira bahwa akibat adanya acara wisuda ini kuliah sering dialihkan ke online. Padahal banyak mata kuliah bersifat praktikum yang tidak bisa diubah secara berani.
“Kesulitan yang menjadi perhatian saya adalah kadang kalau sudah ada wisuda, kuliah otomatis online, sementara mata kuliah saya praktek dimana sifatnya harus langsung, tidak bisa online,” ujarnya.
Khairul menyarankan pembangunan parkir bertingkat sebagai solusi jangka panjang. “Usaha di depan kampus saja bisa bertingkat, kenapa parkiran kampus tidak?” katanya.
Ia juga menambahkan bahwa kampus perlu memanfaatkan lahan-lahan di sekitar yang saat ini belum dikelola secara optimal. Permasalahan lahan parkir di Unsika saat ini telah menimbulkan dampak yang signifikan bagi mahasiswa, dosen, dan sekitar masyarakat. Khairul menyarankan agar kampus mulai memanfaatkan lahan-lahan di sekitar untuk menghindari memagari kendaraan.
Sementara itu, Bapak Asep Mubarok, warga Kabupaten Mahkota, menekankan pentingnya kerja sama antara kampus dan lingkungan sekitar agar acara seperti wisuda tidak menimbulkan kemacetan. “Adanya kolaborasi dan komunikasi dari pihak kampus dengan pihak lingkungan sangat penting demi lancarnya acara,” ujarnya.
