Purwakarta, Wartacana.com 16 Juli 2025 — Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) kelompok 16 menginisiasi program Bank ASRI (Bank Sampah Asri) di Desa Pasawahan Kidul, Kabupaten Purwakarta. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam memilah dan mengelola sampah rumah tangga.
Program Bank ASRI difokuskan pada pembagian tempat sampah terpilah serta pemasangan plang edukasi di tiap dusun. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara bertahap mulai dari Dusun 3, Dusun 2, hingga Dusun 1.
Pembagian pertama berlangsung pukul 09.30 WIB di depan Posyandu Manggis 3 dan disambut oleh Bapak Ayat, Kepala Dusun 3. Selanjutnya, pada pukul 10.00 WIB, kegiatan dilanjutkan ke Dusun 2 di depan Posyandu Manggis 2, dengan kehadiran Bapak Aman, Kepala Dusun 2. Terakhir, pembagian dilakukan pukul 10.30 WIB di Dusun 1, tepatnya di depan Pos Ronda RW 01, bersama Bapak Toto, Kepala Dusun 1.
“Kami senang dengan adanya program ini, apalagi warga di sini memang masih perlu banyak dorongan untuk mulai memilah sampah. Semoga bisa jadi kebiasaan ke depannya,” ujar salah satu kepala dusun.
Koordinator KKN Kelompok 16 menyampaikan bahwa Bank ASRI merupakan bentuk kontribusi mahasiswa dalam mendukung lingkungan desa yang berkelanjutan.
“Melalui program ini, kami ingin membiasakan masyarakat untuk memilah sampah sejak dari rumah. Tempat sampah dibedakan menjadi organik dan anorganik agar lebih praktis. Selain itu, plang edukasi yang kami pasang juga menjelaskan lama waktu penguraian tiap jenis sampah,” jelasnya.
Antusiasme masyarakat terhadap program ini cukup tinggi. Banyak warga menyambut baik kehadiran tempat sampah terpilah dan informasi edukatif yang dipasang.
Dengan sinergi antara mahasiswa, perangkat desa, dan masyarakat, Bank ASRI diharapkan menjadi langkah awal menuju desa yang lebih bersih, sehat, dan peduli lingkungan, serta menjadi contoh baik bagi desa-desa lainnya.
