KKN Desa Cintaasih
Sebelum memulai kegiatan KKN, mahasiswa KKN Unsika Desa Cintaasih melakukan survei di SDN Cintaasih II dan menemukan bahwa banyak murid, terutama di kelas 4-6, yang belum lancar membaca. Hal ini merupakan dampak dari pandemi COVID-19 beberapa tahun lalu yang mengakibatkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dan menurunnya kemampuan literasi siswa. Menyadari pentingnya literasi dasar bagi perkembangan akademik siswa, mahasiswa KKN mencetuskan program Mahasiswa Mengajar sebagai upaya untuk membantu anak-anak di SDN Cintaasih II. Program ini ditujukan bagi siswa kelas 2-6.
Pada hari Senin hingga Jumat, tanggal 15-19 Juli 2024, kelompok Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Unsika Gelombang 1 Desa Cintaasih, Kecamatan Pangkalan, telah melaksanakan program kerja Mahasiswa Mengajar di SDN Cintaasih II. Kegiatan ini berlangsung setiap hari mulai pukul 07.30 WIB hingga selesai, dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap kemampuan membaca, menulis, dan berhitung (calistung).
Program Mahasiswa Mengajar di SDN Cintaasih II dimulai pada hari Senin dengan perkenalan dan pendekatan, di mana mahasiswa memperkenalkan diri, program, dan membangun hubungan baik dengan siswa melalui permainan interaktif. Respon positif langsung terlihat dari antusiasme siswa yang sangat tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini. Salah satu siswa kelas 4, Raisa, mengatakan, “Aku senang sekali ada kakak-kakak mahasiswa yang mengajar. Belajar jadi lebih menyenangkan!”
Pada hari Selasa, materi yang disampaikan adalah mengenal huruf A-Z beserta bunyinya, serta perbedaan antara huruf vokal dan konsonan. Hari Rabu dilanjutkan dengan mengenalkan suku kata sederhana seperti ba, bi, bu, be, bo, diikuti dengan latihan membaca suku kata tersebut. Pada hari Kamis, mahasiswa mengenalkan kata sederhana seperti ibu, bapak, bola, dan buku, serta mengadakan latihan membaca kata-kata tersebut.
Puncak kegiatan pada hari Jumat melibatkan senam bersama di lapangan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran dan semangat siswa, serta pembagian reward kepada siswa teraktif dari kelas 2-6 sebagai bentuk apresiasi. Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan momen emosional dan mengharukan ketika para siswa memberikan hadiah kenang-kenangan untuk mahasiswa KKN Unsika sebagai bentuk apresiasi dan rasa terima kasih. Khususnya, murid-murid kelas 5 memberikan pelukan hangat kepada mahasiswa KKN, menambah suasana haru di hari terakhir kegiatan. Salah satu siswa kelas 5, Michelle, mengatakan, “Terima kasih kakak-kakak sudah mengajar kami. Kita bakal kangen sama kakak semua.”
Kepala Sekolah SDN Cintaasih II, Saja Suganda, S.Pd. memberikan komentar, “Program Mahasiswa Mengajar ini sangat bermanfaat bagi siswa kami. Para mahasiswa mampu membuat suasana belajar menjadi lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Saya berharap program seperti ini dapat terus berlanjut di masa mendatang.”
Pak Didik, wali kelas 5, juga memberikan pendapatnya, “Kehadiran mahasiswa KKN Unsika sangat membantu kami dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dasar siswa. Saya melihat perubahan positif dalam semangat belajar siswa selama program ini berlangsung.”
Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu siswa memahami huruf, suku kata, dan kata sederhana, meningkatkan semangat belajar mereka, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif dan interaktif. Mahasiswa KKN Unsika juga merasa sangat terharu dan bahagia dengan sambutan hangat serta respon positif dari siswa dan guru SDN Cintaasih II.
