Purwakarta, Wartacana.com – 04 Juli 2025 Kelompok 16 KKN Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA) menyelenggarakan program kerja bertajuk CALISTARA (Calistung Anak Ceria) yang dilaksanakan di salah satu PAUD yang terletak di Dusun 3, Desa Pasawahan Kidul. Program ini dirancang untuk mendukung perkembangan kemampuan dasar baca, tulis, dan berhitung (calistung) bagi anak-anak usia dini, dengan pendekatan yang menyenangkan dan interaktif.
Kegiatan perdana dilaksanakan pada 04 Juli 2025 yang dibuka dengan sesi perkenalan antara mahasiswa KKN dan para peserta didik. Sebanyak 16 siswa-siswi turut ambil bagian dalam program ini. Suasana ceria langsung terasa saat anak-anak mengikuti permainan edukatif cerdas cermat ceria, di mana mereka menjawab pertanyaan ringan dan mendapatkan hadiah kecil berupa snack. Kegiatan ditutup dengan nyanyian yang mengandung unsur pendidikan, membuat pembelajaran terasa menyenangkan.
Memasuki pertemuan kedua pada 07 Juli 2025, pembelajaran mulai difokuskan pada kemampuan dasar. Untuk PAUD A, mahasiswa memperkenalkan abjad melalui media laptop serta memberikan latihan menulis huruf. Sementara itu, siswa PAUD B diajak belajar membaca dua suku kata dan melengkapi abjad yang hilang dalam kata. Materi disesuaikan dengan tingkat kemampuan anak-anak di masing-masing kelas.
Pada 09 Juli 2025, anak-anak diperkenalkan dengan konsep angka. Melalui media laptop, mereka belajar mengenal angka secara visual. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan latihan menulis angka dan berhitung sesuai tingkat pemahaman masing-masing jenjang PAUD. Mahasiswa memberikan pendampingan secara langsung untuk memastikan anak-anak memahami setiap materi dengan baik.
Pembelajaran semakin menarik di pertemuan keempat pada 11 Juli 2025, yang mengangkat tema pengenalan huruf vokal dan huruf abjad. Anak-anak belajar melalui nyanyian dan video pembelajaran dari YouTube. Setelah itu, mahasiswa menguji pemahaman anak-anak dengan pertanyaan sederhana dan memberikan latihan menulis huruf abjad sesuai jenjang kelas. Metode interaktif ini berhasil menjaga semangat belajar anak-anak tetap tinggi.
Sebagai penutup, 19 Juli 2025 menjadi hari yang penuh keceriaan. Pertemuan kelima diisi dengan kegiatan perpisahan bersama seluruh pengajar mahasiswa KKN yang telah mendampingi anak-anak selama program berlangsung. Salah satu kegiatan paling seru adalah praktik membuat es krim putar tradisional, di mana anak-anak diajak mencampur es batu, garam, dan susu ke dalam kaleng lalu memutarnya hingga menjadi es krim. Setelah jadi, mereka menikmati hasil buatan bersama dalam suasana hangat dan penuh kebersamaan. Di akhir kegiatan, mahasiswa memberikan hadiah kecil sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas semangat anak-anak selama mengikuti program CALISTARA.
